We may collect and process the following data about you:

Information that you provide to us by filling in forms on www.victoriajane.co.uk or replying to the email address vjanegoldsmith@gmail.com. This includes information provided at the time of registering to use the Website, purchasing any Victoria Jane products, posting material on the Website or requesting further services, including bespoke commissions, vintage recreation, repairs or design work. We may also ask you for information if you report a problem with the Website.

If you purchase products from us, we may retain details of your delivery address, password and/or information associated with your account.  We also maintain a record of your product selections and the fulfilment of your orders.

If you write to us by post or email or post on our blog and social media sites, records may be kept of that correspondence.

If you correspond with us by telephone or web chat, written records of that conversation may be kept.

Details of your visits to the Website including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, web logs and other communication data, and details of the resources that you access may be kept on record.

We do not knowingly collect information from customers under the age of 13. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from anyone under the age of 13 we will delete it immediately.

 

  1. When you make a purchase from a party, stall or event

When you make a purchase from a party, stall or one of our eventsfor items that are in stock we will collect necessary information about you to ensure we can fulfil your order. This data is processed on the basis of “Legitimate Interest” as we need this data to fulfil your order. Where you provide us with your email address for an e-receipt this will only be used to email you your receipt and will not be stored unless you give us your explicit consent (via tick box) to send you marketing material.

 

  1. When you make a purchase for delivery

When you make a purchase either online or from a party, stall or event,for delivery at a later date, we will collect necessary information about you to ensure we can fulfil your order. This data is processed on the basis of “Legitimate Interest” as we need this data to fulfil your order. Details of your order may be passed to a third party company to assist us with the prevention and detection of fraudulent orders which may result in us requesting additional information from you. Where orders are fulfilled by a third party courier we will need to share your contact information with them for the purpose of delivering your order. Where our couriers support giving you additional tracking information via email or sms text message we will give them this information for this purpose.

Where you have added items to your basket and started entering your information we may send you an email to let you know that the checkout has not been completed. The lawful basis for this email is “Legitimate Interest” as you have expressed an interest in purchasing these items. You may unsubscribe from these emails using the link at the bottom of the email.

As we are always looking for ways to improve, we may send you a link to review us via our review partners.   1. How long we store your data

We are committed to keeping your personal information only for as long as is necessary. Where we no longer require information to be in a format where you can be identified personally, we will remove any personal details and store the data anonymously.

For purchases made on our website or for delivery in store, we will store your information for a period of 2 years from your last order or login to assist us with our unlimited returns policy. After this time you will need to show us proof of purchase. If you wish to use your account after it has been deleted you will need to create a new account.

 

  1. IP addresses 

We may collect information about your computer, including your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration. This is statistical data about users’ browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual.

Your IP address may also be passed to a third party company to assist us with the prevention and detection of fraudulent orders.

We sometimes include links to other websites. This privacy policy only applies to this website, so when you click on links to other websites you should read their own privacy policy.

 

  1. CookiesIf you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

    When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

    If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
